70 years ago four planes landed on a block of ice, a number of people came out, landed their outfit and flew away. That land had never seen anything similar before. Four brave people broke the polar silence.

Monday, April 23, 2007Today on April 23 MVK expedition flew to the North Pole. The aim of the flight – to open at “Zero” spot the first in the world exhibition at the North Pole, dedicated to landing on a block of ice of the first polar expedition under the guidance of Ivan Papanin and legendary flights over the North Pole made by Valery Chkalov’s and Mikhail Gromov’s teams. The expedition consists of 25 people.
Monday, April 23, 2007On April 23, 2007, 5.45 pm, the plane with MVK expedition has landed at Longyearbyen (Spitsbergen, Norway), - reported Alexey Shaburov, the author of the project “North Pole – new opportunities in life and business”. The team is on the way to Barneo on board the transport plane AN-74.

Chilingarov, President of the Association, was solemnly presented by Yuri Senatorov, Vice-President of “Association of polar explorers”.
Saturday, April 21, 2007In June 2007 MVK patriotic museum will start working in the State Duma. Members of the Duma will have chance to get acquainted with photos, archive documents and personal things of the members of the Papanin polar expedition, said the author of the project Alexey Shaburov at the presentation. At present, talks on holding of the exhibition are being conducted with representatives of the State Duma.

Thursday, April 19, 2007On April 17 there was held the presentation of MVK new conceptual project Museum “Role of HISTORY in life and business”. The event was aimed at covering tasks and purposes of the project. The presentation was attended by members of Association of polar explorers, participants of the forthcoming expedition, representatives of the largest furniture companies and employees of MVK.
