Feedback from I.D. Papanin native land

As it is known, Ivan Papanin was born in a lovely city of Sevastopol. There he spent his childhood and youth, learned bases of the science and started to make first steps in his carrier. Of course, Ivan Papanin is an honorary citizen of Sevastopol. In this city there is a monument, erected in honour of the two times hero of the Soviet Union, and very soon in June of the present year there will be opened exhibition, dedicated to this legendary man’s life.

Joint Stock Company “International Exhibition Company – MVK” could not remain indifferent to the native land of the person, who was in charge of the first drifting polar station. On April 12 MVK representative met director of Museum of heroic defense of Sevastopol Alexander Rudometov. It is this museum that is the organizer of the exhibition, dedicated to Ivan Papanin.

Without doubt, new MVK project aroused interest and got support of Sevastopol museum. Welcoming speech of the director of the museum, addressed to participants and organizers of the project “The North Pole” has been already placed at the web-site. Museum also provided unique pictures of very young Papanin and other interesting photos, connected with hero’s life.

One should note that museum collections include unique things that belonged to Papanin some time ago. Winchester, binoculars, watch, compass, table and many other things were photographed for creation of MVK 3D museum.

One can say that the new project has got loyal allies; they are the people who remember and honour our hero.
