Live with Aleksey Shaburov at Voice of Russia
On June 15 at 2 pm Aleksey Shaburov, the initiator of the project “North Pole – New Opportunities in Life and Business” was on air at Voice of Russia. In his report Aleksey Shaburov told about the project “North Pole – New Opportunities in Life and Business” dedicated to the 70th anniversary of two heroic expeditions: the first Soviet drifting polar station NP-1 set up by Schmidt and Papanin and polar flights of Chkalov and Gromov through the North Pole. On April 23 MVK expedition erected Russian flag there and pitched two tents – a exact copy of Papanin’s another one in Russian national colours. The tents were the centerpiece of the first exhibition at the North Pole. “The museum is becoming nation-wide”, said Aleksey Shaburov. “We synthesized the exposition of seven Russian museums in one Mobile Polar Museum. The families of the polar explorers granted personal belongings, notes and even a teddy-bear of Mikhail Vodopyanov to our museum. Svetlana Boldyreva, the granddaughter of the famous pilot, helped us a lot. Vladimir Schmidt, the son of Otto Schmidt, as strong and principal as his father, granted the bust of his father, polar tent and his polar notes”, said A. Shaburov.
Presentation of the museum in the state Duma of Russia aroused great interest, added Shaburov. A lot of deputies, representatives of MVK, polar explorers and guests participated in the opening ceremony.
Aleksey Shaburov touched upon the purposes and aims of the expedition participants, what they came through ad what new feelings and ideas the modern polar explorers got.
This museum is created for the intelligentsia of Russia, for those who care about the future of Russia.
Olga Kordyukova, the DJ, got interested in the North Pole. She said that “this exposition is an example of solicitous attitude to Russian history”.
“The museum is in constant physic and intellectual development. It has a great motivation and energy, which we shared with our team. The attractiveness of the project is in its constant dynamism!”, emphasized Shaburov. “We want the radio listeners, the citizens of Russia, to support us. I ask the residents of St Petersburg, Kazan, Yekaterinburg, Novosibirsk, Rostov-on-Don (the cities that the museum will tour) to grant our museums exhibits and information about heroic expeditions of Schmidt and Papanin and polar flights of Chkalov and Gromov. You will become a part of our project, which will demonstrate power and unity of our country”.
On June 12 Aleksey Shaburov also was on air at Voice of Russia and told about the North Pole project of MVK.
***On April, 23 MVK opened the first historic-patriotic museum at the North Pole dedicated to the 70th anniversary of the first Soviet drifting polar station NP-1 set up by Schmidt and Papanin and polar flights of Chkalov and Gromov through the North Pole. The flags of Russia, USSR and MVK were planted at the North Pole. The official opening of the exposition took place on May 17, 2007 alongside with opening of Euroexpofurniture. Then the museum successfully worked at MASHEXDuring a year the museum will tour the cities of Russia and abroad.
