A press-conference upon the results of the movable Polar Museum at the North Pole opening will take place at ITAR-TASS April 27, 2007 at 12. 00
70 years ago four airplanes landed on ice, unloaded a bunch of people, some equipment and flied away. Great polar science was disturbed by the four brave men. They drifted on ice within 9 months. They measured the depth of the Arctic Ocean waters, discovered ocean streams and the character of natural patterns; they became the pioneers of Arctic exploration. 70 years later helicopters land here and divine violoncello music spreads over the sonorous ice. People never experiencing such a frost before rise the flags and install the exact copy of Papanin tent. With “Hurray” cries the movable Polar museum is opened – the first in the world exhibition on the North Pole. People say patriotic speeches and discuss their motherland’s future. Russian people have decided to increase the Russian glory and to strengthen the country’s position on the Arctic where the very wealth is hidden.
“The Role of History in Business and Life” historic and patriotic project has the honor to invite all journalists indifferent to the Russian future, who work for our history preservation, who consider this project an example of the State interests and personal interests combination to take part in a press-conference called “The positions of modern Russia in studying, exploration and division of Arctic and Antarctic territories”.
