Massive Success of MVK Museum in Rostov-on-Don
On October 10, 2007 MVK Mobile Polar Museum was opened in Rostov-on-Don. This outstanding event aroused great interest in the city. The opening ceremony was visited by 700 people among whom there were Don Cossacks. Intrigued audience gathered in the street beside the museum entrance. The city administration supported this cultural and educating project.
It is the greatest success of the museum “Mobile polar museum” in its history. And it is not a surprise because at the moment the museum includes about 300 exhibits including photographs, belongings, newsreels and archive documents of the polar researchers. Besides, the display is appended with the exhibits from the expedition Arktika-2007.
Mobile polar museum will work in Rostov-on-Don Regional Museum, B. Sadovaya Street (opposite the Rostov Region Administration building) till October 14, 2007.
