Mobile polar museum

The Mobile Polar Museum

Seven Russian museums from various cities in cooperation with polar explorers’ relatives and private collectors accumulated a unique exposition. The museum was launched at the North Pole. Then the exposition toured around several Russian cities and towns.

Arctic 2007, an expedition into the high latitudes

Russian explorers were the first to plant their national flag on the Arctic Ocean seabed at the exact location of the North Pole.

Thank you for doing me the honour of your participation in this project, dedicated to the International Polar year and the 70th anniversary of the Ivan Papanin Expedition. Being a polar traveller myself, I value the history of the North exploration by our predecessors. The glory of Russia was elevated due to their willpower and patriotic commitment to their homeland. Now, by MVK efforts their traditions are regenerated for the good of our country.
